Francis E. Bradley Sr. serves as the Chief of Police for the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and
previously served as the Chief of Police for the Navajo and Hualapai Nations. He is a graduate of
the FBI National Academy, Session 232 and the Department of Homeland Security Leadership
Academy Session 23.

Chief Bradley is Diné, born to the Bitter Water clan and for the Towering House clan. His
leadership in Indian Country law enforcement has been shaped by traditional teachings and
cultural philosophies, which he has successfully integrated with modern policing methods. This
unique approach has guided his mission to serve and protect Native communities with honor,
respect, and cultural understanding.

For more than 44 years, Chief Bradley has embodied the Warrior principles instilled in him,
using these values to guide his leadership and inspire others. He has devoted his career to
mentoring Native youth, strengthening tribal communities, and supporting the professional
development of fellow officers. His advocacy extends beyond policing he has played a key role
in shaping policy, implementing best practices, and advancing public safety initiatives that
enhance the quality of life for Native people through strong partnerships at the local, state, and
federal levels.
